Kind and Gutter Politics
Ron Kind has chosen to participate in gutter politics. It used to be he would let his allies in the Democrat Party or special interest groups do his dirty work for him. Now he is directly choosing character assassination over open and honest debate about the issues. He is a disgrace to the Unites States House of Representatives.
"I'm Ron Kind. I approve this message."
Because Ron knows that he must distract voters away from the facts and issues that matter most. Like the fact that he voted in favor of wasting hundreds of billions of dollars on failed stimulus projects and now our unemployment rate is near 10% but our children and grand children will still have to pay the tab.
And Ron also knows that even local Democrats agree that Dan Kapanke is a good man and a hard working representative of the people. Here's what Representative Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) had to say about Dan.
So, you see, Ron Knows that his time has come so he must sink to any level necessary to distract voters away from the truth and it's only going to get worse before November.

618 6th Ave North Open House
This is the house 3 doors down from ours. They just put it on the market and we know they did a lot of updates so we went to the open house to get some ideas for updating our own. Very impressive.

Pine Car Derby 2010
The kids ended up doing pretty good. Amanda took 3rd out of 9 and Mitchell took 6th out of 19. Both are now qualified to go to regionals if we choose to go.
There were so many cars for the Boy Pioneers that we had to split them into two groups and then take the best 4 from each group for the finals. Mitchell was in the first group and did really well (I think he was 2nd in that group) but the second group had a lot of fast cars which dropped him down to 6th overall.
All in all it was a lot of fun with some good natured competition.

It's Been a While
I see that I haven't posted anything here for some time. I guess we've been using Facebook so much that we forgot all about this personal blog. For those of you reading here I recommend making to leap onto Facebook. It's a very neat way to stay up-to-date with friends and family.
